dolphinigle-butler ("the App") is a private, single-user personal automation operated by its individual owner ("the Owner") for the Owner's own use. The App is not offered to the public and has no users other than the Owner. This policy explains how the App handles data.
The App is used solely by the Owner, acting on their own Google Account(s). There are no third-party end users. All access is self-authorized by the Owner through Google's OAuth consent flow.
Through Google APIs, and only after the Owner grants consent, the App may access:
gmail.modify) — to read message
metadata and snippets for triage and to mark the Owner's own messages as read.
The App does not send, delete, or permanently remove email.calendar.events) — to read
the Owner's upcoming events and to create or edit events at the Owner's request.spreadsheets) — to read and
update a personal contacts spreadsheet the Owner already owns.Accessed data is used exclusively to perform the chore the Owner requested (e.g., producing an inbox digest, showing an agenda, or updating a contact). Data is processed transiently on the Owner's own computer. The App does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to these features.
The App runs locally on the Owner's machine. OAuth tokens and a small triage "watermark" are stored locally in the Owner's home directory (outside any public code repository) and are readable only by the Owner's user account. Message content is not retained beyond what is needed to display the current digest. No data is stored on servers controlled by the App.
The App does not sell, share, or transmit Google user data to any third party. Data flows only between the Owner's machine and Google's own APIs.
The App's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The Owner can revoke the App's access at any time via Google Account → Third-party access. Revocation immediately stops all further access.
